SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Western New England College men's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision against city rival Springfield College in its home opener Tuesday afternoon (Mar. 27).
Sophomore Mike Willhoft (Manchester, CT) was the only winner for the Golden Bears taking his No. 3 singles match 6-4, 6-1 over Ethan Clime.
The Pride (2-2) captured the other matches in straight sets.
Western New England College (1-1) hosts Clark at 3:30 p.m. Thursday (Mar. 29).
