SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Junior Jonathan Riter (Blue Bell, PA) won both his singles and doubles matches to lead the Western New England College men's tennis team to a 9-0 shutout win over Albertus Magnus College Saturday in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) match.
Riter blanked his opponent at the No. 6 singles position and teamed with senior Barton Haskell (Jewett City, CT) to win the No. 1 doubles match.
Haskell, a team co-captain, was honored before the match during Senior Day ceremonies.
The Golden Bears are now 7-1 overall and 4-0 in the conference. The Falcons fall to 1-6 and 0-5.
