WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's volleyball team remained unbeaten with a 3-2 victory over host Westfield State in a back-and-forth non-conference match Wednesday evening (Sept. 5).

The game scores were 25-30, 30-20, 30-23, 26-30, and 15-13.

Senior Ashley O'Keefe (South Dennis, MA) had a double-double of 29 kills and 13 digs to lead the Golden Bears who are now 5-0.

Sophomore Rachel Cervone (West Springfield, MA) contributed 30 digs while freshman Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) dished out a season high 59 assists.

Western New England College earlier defeated the Owls 3-0 in the WNEC Invitational last Friday.

Stephanie Bartkus led Westfield (2-3) with 10 kills while Alissa Thibodeau had seven kills. Elissa Genereux added 30 assists.
