SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - In the opening night of the Hay Invitational, the Roger Williams women's volleyball team stopped Western New England College 3-1 Friday (Oct. 10).

The game scores were 25-18, 29-31, 25-20, and 25-10.

Junior outside hitter Rachel Cervone (West Springfield, MA) led the Golden Bears with 21 digs, 10 kills, and three service aces.

Sophomore setter Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) played well with 27 assists and 20 digs.

Freshman middle blocker Inna Sergeychik (West Springfield, MA) also compiled three service aces.

The Golden Bears (8-11) will play three matches against host Springfield, Plymouth State, and Westfield State on Saturday (Oct. 11).
