LONGMEADOW, Mass. - The Western New England College men's tennis team blanked Gordon 9-0 for its first-ever Commonwealth Coast Conference victory Monday (Mar. 31) at the Grande Meadows Tennis Center.

The Golden Bears improved their record to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the conference.

WNEC won all six singles matches in straight sets with junior Alex Boutin (Bristol, CT) compiling a 7-6 (7-5), 6-4 victory over Blake Larson at No. 1 singles to lead the way.

Boutin and senior Ryan Turner (Yorkville, IL) also cruised to an 8-1 win at the No. 2 doubles position.

Gordon drops to 2-8 overall and 0-2 in the conference.
