SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Dominating doubles action, the Western New England College men's tennis team posted a 7-2 victory over visiting Curry Saturday afternoon (Apr. 5) for its fifth consecutive win.
The Golden Bears, who defeated Wentworth 8-1 Friday in Boston, upped their record to 8-3 overall and 4-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).
Junior Alex Boutin (Bristol, CT) was involved in two big wins for Western New England College.
He won his #2 singles match with a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 win over Charles Edlund, and teamed with senior Josh Devine (Bloomingburg, NY) to take a 9-7 victory over Ben Radzicki and Nick Ksepka at #3 doubles as the Golden Bears won all three doubles flights.
