BRISTOL, R.I. - The Western New England College women's tennis team managed only a singles and double win in falling to host Roger Williams 7-2 Saturday afternoon (Sept. 13).
Freshman Nicole DeSimone (Feeding Hills, MA) gained her first college victory with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over sophomore Lily Osowski (Byfield, MA) at the No. 2 singles position.
Senior Nicole Freed (Jersey Shore, PA) and junior Kelly Murnane (Cheshire, CT) picked-up their first win of the season with an 8-3 win at the No. 2 doubles spot.
Roger Williams (2-1) captured the other five singles flights in straight sets to improve to 2-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).
The Golden Bears (0-3) have lost all three conference matches this season.
