SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The Western New England College women's volleyball team came through with one of its best performances of the young season blanking visiting Rhode Island Colege 3-0 in a non-league match Tuesday (Sept. 16) at the Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The game scores were 25-19, 25-19, and 25-22.

Junior outside hitter Rachel Cervone (West Springfield, MA) had a big night with 13 kills, 12 digs, and two aces as the Golden Bears evened their record at 4-4.

Senior outside hitter Sarah Wainwright (Gilford, NH) and sophomore middle blocker Lauren Landri (New Canaan, CT) added seven and five kills, respectively.

Sophomore setter Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) contributed 29 assists.

Rhode Island College junior oustide hitter Sharon Corriveau (Coventry, RI) had five kills and 16 digs.

Senior libero Jackie Gervais (Woonsocket, RI) chipped-in with 33 digs while sophomore setter Nicole Enos (Coventry, RI) had 18 assists.

The Anchorwomen are now 2-8.
