WENHAM, Mass. - Sophomore forward Greg Walker (Uxbridge, MA) fired in 28 points and junior forward Benjamin Gaskill (Columbus, OH) grabbed 13 rebounds to lead the Gordon men's basketball team to a 77-57 victory over Western New England College Saturday afternoon (Feb. 14).

The Fighting Scots raised their record to 17-6 overall and 7-4 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

Junior guard Aaron Trigg (Overland Park, KS) added 12 points and seven assists while freshman guard JT Himelstein (Glendale, AZ) contributed 10 points off the bench.

Gordon came out strong making 66.7% of its shots from the field in taking a 39-23 lead at halftime. The Fighting Scots finished with a 56.4% mark with Walker connecting on 12-of-15 of his attempts.

Western New England College received a nice performance from junior forard Mike Booker (Springfield, MA) who netted 13 points (6-for-7 from the floor) and two steals. Sophomore forward Brad Thomka (Springfield, MA) and senior guard Matt Maynard (Paterson, NJ) added nine and eight points, respectively.

The Golden Bears, who had a three-game win streak ended, are now 7-15 overall and 5-6 in the conference.
