PAXTON, Mass. -- The Western New England College women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 victory over host Anna Maria Tuesday night (Sept. 22) at The Fuller Activities Center. The game scores were 25-14, 25-6, and 25-12.

The Golden Bears, who bounced back from a tough 3-2 loss against Endicott last Saturday, raised their record to 8-6 overall and 2-1 in The Commonweath Coast Conference (TCCC). The AMCATS drop to 5-4 and 0-2 in the conference.

The junior trio of Samantha Shomo (Glen Gardner, NJ), Marci Egbert (Wayne, NJ), and and Katharina Boes (Buffalo Grove, IL) paced the Golden Bears. 

Shomo totaled seven kills, two digs, and a pair of service aces while Egbert contributed 16 digs, seven service aces, and an assist. Boes added 13 assists and eight digs in two games.

Sophomore middle blocker Kristen Jordan (Sherman, CT) helped the Blue and Gold with four kills, a service ace, and block.

Senior Brittany Langdeau (Wolcott, CT) led the AMCATS with 13 digs and two assists while freshman Leah Murphy (Wareham, MA) added seven digs and an ace. Freshman Sandy Acosta (Lawrence, MA) chipped-in with four kills, three assists, and a block.
