PORTSMOUTH, R.I. - Freshman forward
Anthony Willett (Springfield, MA) scored his second goal of the game with three seconds remaining in overtime as the Western New England College men's hockey team posted a dramatic 6-5 decision over Salve Regina in an ECAC Northeast game Sunday (Feb. 14) at the Portsmouth Abbey School Rink.
This was the third win of the season for the Golden Bears who are 3-18-1 overall and 2-10 in the league. The Seahawks fall to 1-21-1 and 0-11-1 in the ECAC Northeast.
Willett's winning shot came after SRU pulled senior goalie
Ryan Comerford (Merrimack, NH) while the Seahawks were on the power play.
Despite having a two-player advantage, the strategy didn't work when Willett skated in for the game-winner with assists from sophomore forward
Kory Grahl (San Diego, CA) and graduate student defenseman
Chris Gillman (Wingdale, NY).
Willett and Grahl each finished with two goals and an assist while Gillman contributed two assists.
Senior defenseman
Joe Trimboli (Las Vegas, NV) added a goal and assist while senior forward
Michael St. Lawrence (Holyoke, MA) had the other goal.
Junior forward

SRU scored three straight goals in less than five minutes and took a 5-4 lead when junior forward
Billy Sabia (Ridgefield, CT) notched his first goal of the season at the 8:25 mark.
St. Lawrence tied the contest just 15 seconds later with an assist from Beaudoin.
The Seahawks had a man advantage for the last minute of the third period and first minute of overtime, but couldn't score.
Senior forward
Tyler Tott (Rehoboth, MA) tallied two goals for the Seahawks while junior defenseman
Kevin Sullivan (North Branford, CT) had a goal and assist. Sabia and junior forward
