CLERMONT, Fla. -- The Western New England College softball team opened its 2010 season with losses against The College of New Jersey (11-2 in six innings) and Wesleyan (6-5) Saturday night (March 13) at the National Training Complex.
The contests, originally scheduled for the morning, were pushed back into the evening after rain wiped out competition for several of the other schools in the tournament on Friday.

Trish Breault (Millville, MA) walked, singled, and scored both runs for the Golden Bears (which were unearned).
WNEC took a 1-0 lead in the first when Breault walked, went to second on an error and scored on a sacrifice fly by sophomore designated player
Rachel Wyrwa (Methuen, MA).
The Lions (7-1) scored four times in both the second and third innings, and added three runs in the sixth for the victory.
