POMFRET, Conn. - The Nichols men's tennis team posted an 8-1 victory over Western New England College Wednesday afternoon (March 24) at the Pomfret School.

This was the first loss in two matches for the Golden Bears (2-4) in The Commonwealth Coast Conference. 

Sophomore JonPaul Ouellette (Bethlehem, CT) had the lone win for WNEC taking the number four singles match with a well-played 7-5, 2-6, 10-5 decision.

Freshman Justin DeLuca (Mashpee, MA) led the Bison by capturing his number one singles flight in straight sets and teaming with junior Tyler McLaughlin (Hollis, NH) for a victory at number one doubles.

Western New College is now 2-4 overall while Nichols is 5-5 after winning its conference opener.
