SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Junior Christina Barbarisi (Feeding Hills, MA) remained undefeated at number two singles as the Western New England College women's tennis team blanked visiting Regis 9-0 Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 15).

This was the second straight win for the Golden Bears who evened their record at 2-2, which is their same mark in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

Barbarisi, who is 4-0 on the season, was among five players who captured their singles matches by 6-0 scores.

Senior Ashley Czelatka (Southampton, NY) took her number six singles match without dropping a point and teamed with junior Lori Pagliano (Milford, CT) for an 8-2 victory at number three doubles.

Regis falls to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
