Endicott rallies from first-half deficit to defeat Western New England 71-67

BEVERLY, Mass.
– Led by five scorers in double figures the Endicott men's basketball team rallied from an 11 point halftime deficit to defeat Western New England 71-67 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference action on Saturday (Jan. 15).

Endicott freshman forward Lachlan Magee (Melbourne, Australia) led the Gulls with 16 points and eight rebounds. Junior forward Aaron Karkow (Uncasville, CT) recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Joining Magee and Karkow in double figures were freshman guard Jordan Lewis (Windsor, CT) with 12, freshman guard Tyler Burkhart (Cromwell, CT) with 11, and junior center Eric Callo (Southington, CT) with 10.

Western New England was led by junior guard Andre Shaw (New York, NY) with 22 points, including 6-9 (66.7%) shooting from behind the arc.

Senior forward Brad Thomka (Springfield, MA) contributed 15 points and six rebounds; while senior center Conor Lomas (Wilbraham, MA) grabbed a game-high 14 rebounds and chipped in with eight points.

The Golden Bears held a 36-25 advantage heading into the half.

Western New England returns to action on Wednesday (Jan. 19) to host conference rival Wentworth at 7:30 p.m.
