BIDDEFORD, Maine - Senior guard Carrie Bunnell (Barnet, VT) led three players in double figures with 23 points as the University of New England women's basketball rolled to an 82-50 victory over Western New England Saturday (Jan. 29) at the Campus Center.

Junior guard Kelley Paradis (Newport, ME) added 17 points and sophomore forward Beth Suggs (Bath, ME) 14 points as the Nor'easters improved to 13-6 overall and 6-1 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC).

UNE led 41-29 at halftime and tacked on another 41 points in the second half in coasting to the win.

Freshman guard Ali Pessolano (Hampden, MA) led the Golden Bears with nine points while junior guard Kathleen Jasinski (Templeton, MA) and junior forward Sarah Proper (Coxsackie, NY) each contributed eight points.

Western New England shot a respectable 41.7% from the floor, but struggled at the foul line making only 6-of-18 attempts (33.3%) in addition to committing 26 turnovers.

The Nor'easters made 47.0% of their field-goal attempts to offset a 10-for-20 showing at the charity stripe.

Each team had 37 rebounds in the game.

The Golden Bears fall to 10-8 and 2-5 in the conference.
