WENHAM, Mass. - The Western New England men's tennis team captured its 11th consecutive match with a 7-2 victory over Gordon Saturday afternoon (Apr. 9).

The Golden Bears took all three matches doubles matches in running their record to 11-2 overall and a perfect 7-0 in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.

Leading the way were senior co-captains Brian Relihan (Orange, CT) and Mike Jones (Stone Ridge, NY) who won their top doubles match by the score of 8-4 to improve their record to 11-1.

Sophomore Chris Holzinger (Foster, RI) and junior JonPaul Ouellette (Bethlehem, CT) teamed for a similar 8-4 decision at number two doubles.

Senior Matt Minahan (Plymouth, MA) and junior newcomer Shawn Fitzpatrick (Burnt Hills, NY) posted an 8-3 victory at the third doubles spot.
