Curry sweeps doubles and remains unbeaten following a 7-2 win over Western New England

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.
- Sophomore Megan Mulrooney (South Boston, MA) won both her singles and doubles matches as the Curry women's tennis team remained unbeaten with a 7-2 victory over Western New England Tuesday afternoon (Sept. 13).

The Colonels are now 5-0 overall and 3-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC). The Golden Bears drop to 0-3, their same mark in the conference.

Mulrooney captured the number one singles match with a 6-0, 6-2 win and teamed with classmate Lauren Chuha (Reading, MA) for a close 9-7 decision at number two doubles. Curry won all three doubles matches in the event.

Western New England scored its only points when senior Caitlin Hughes (Springfield, MA) posted a 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 victory at number two singles. Senior Nicole DeSimone (Feeding Hills, MA) took the number three singles match by the score of 6-3, 6-1.
