Andrew Margolin (Mahwah, NJ) stopped 29 shots as the Connecticut College men's hockey team blanked Western New England 2-0 in a non-conference game Saturday night (Jan. 7) at Dayton Arena.
Senior forward
Julien Boutet (Amos, Quebec) and freshman forward
Steven Victor (Montreal, Quebec) assisted on both scores as the Camels improved their record to 4-7-1. The Golden Bears are now 7-4.
There was no scoring for 53 plus minutes until Sinsigalli netted his opening goal at 13:23 of the third period. He added an empty net goal with 44 seconds remaining.
Margolin played a big role making 15 saves in the middle stanza after the Camels successfully killed three power play opportunities following 20 minutes of penalties. It was a rough period for Western New England as well who had 14 minutes of penalties of its own, but was able to thwart a power play chance.
Sophomore goalie
Eric Sorenson (Fairport, CT) kept the Golden Bears in the game with 26 saves, including 12 in the final period.
