WEST HARTFORD, Conn.--Linda Mustafa, Valerie Conway and Alysha Lesieur all were double winners on Saturday to help the Western New England University women's tennis team blank host the University of Saint Joseph (Conn.) in non-conference play. The Golden Bears wrap up their fall season with a 5-8 record while the Blue Jays lose for the 11th time in 13 matches.

"Ending our fall season with a 9-0 victory today was symbolic of the all around effort of every player on this team over the course of our entire season," Western New England coach Jennifer Kolins said after the match. "The coaching staff was impressed with the work ethic, efforts and all around focus and positive attitudes of the players. It was this determination and never-give-up attitude that helped this very young team accomplish the goals that they did this season. Our next steps will be preparation for playing on the national stage in Orlando in March."

Mustafa, a senior co-captain, defeated Lisa Wawrzynowski 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles and also teamed with Conway at No. 1 doubles to beat Lisa Wawrzynowski/Amanda Willhoft, 8-3.

Conway also was victorious at No. 2 singles over Amanda Willhoft, 6-1, 6-1.

Lesieur breezed by April Loteczka 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles and teamed with Kelsey Grode at No. 2 doubles to defeat Lindsay Tracy/Delina Andrews, 8-2.
