DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.--The Western New England University women's basketball team shot a season-low 24.5 percent from the floor on Friday during a 70-35 non-conference loss at the hands of Cabrini College in the opening round of the Land of Magic Classic hosted at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's ICI Center. The Golden Bears fall to 5-4 on the season while the Cavaliers of the Colonial States Athletic Conference improve to 6-3 after the teams' first-ever meeting.

Megan Decker paced Cabrini with a game-high 17 points, nine rebounds and three steals. Brittany Sandone added 11 points and Annie Rivituso notched 10.
Cabrini also held a commanding lead on the glass, outrebounding WNE 61 to 29. Amber Keys came off the Cavaliers bench to pace all players with 12 rebounds and Rivituso joined Decker with nine. Junior
Nicole Daly pulled in a career-high eight rebounds for the Golden Bears.
Western New England made just 13 of 53 field goal attempts for a 24.5 clip while Cabrini didn't fare much better at 37.1 percent. But the Cavaliers found a lot of success by getting second-chance points off 27 offensive rebounds.
