SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Western New England senior designated player/pitcher
Sarah Lempicki (Plantsville, CT) was named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Softball Co-Player-of-the-Week on Tuesday (Apr. 17). She shared the award with Salve Regina sophomore outfielder/pitcher
Marissa Simpson (Brimfield, MA).
In addition, Lempicki was selected the Western New England Female Athlete-of-the-Week.
Lempicki batted .600 in a 3-3 week with a .933 slugging percentage and .700 on-base mark. She went 9-15 with seven runs scored and five RBI with four extra base hits including a homer).
Lempicki went 3-for-4 with runs and a RBI in a 7-5 win over Williams in the second game of a doubleheader. She then was 4-for-5 with three walks, three runs scored, three RBI, and a homer in a pair of 9-6 wins over Gordon.
A Management major, Lempicki also posted a 2-1 pitching record and 3.68 ERA getting the win over Williams, along with a win and save against Gordon.
