DUDLEY, Mass. – First-place Nichols blanked Western New England 9-0 in a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's tennis match Thursday afternoon (Apr. 19) at the Francis W. Robinson Courts.

The Bison (12-3, 5-0 CCC) dropped only six points in capturing its 11th consecutive match.

Freshman Brandon Roode (Griswold, CT)led the way by winning his number one singles match 6-1, 6-0, and taking the doubles flight with senior Steve Carella (Rocky Hill, CT) by the score of 8-2.

The Golden Bears, who are still in contention for a home playoff match, are now 6-7 and 3-3 in conference play.

Western New England hosts Salve Regina at noon Saturday (Apr. 21) during Senior Day.
