Western New England drops a 5-1 decision at host Endicott in CCC Championship

BEVERLY, Mass. – The fifth-seeded Western New England men's tennis team dropped a 5-1 decision to fourth-seeded Endicott in a quarterfinal round match of the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship Saturday afternoon (Apr. 28).

The Golden Bears' only point came at number three doubles where senior JonPaul Ouellette (Bethlehem, CT) and freshman Peter Nassar (Longmeadow, MA) posted an 9-7 decision.

Junior Jake Cohen (Barrington, RI) led the Gulls by winning his number four singles match 6-4, 6-1, and teaming with classmate Olivier Jaggi (Stoneham, MA) for an 8-0 victory at the top doubles flight.

Western New England ends its season with a 7-9 record.

Endicott (10-11) will visit top-seeded Nichols (15-3) at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday (May 2) in a semifinal round match.
