PROVIDENCE, R.I.--Senior middle hitterÂ
Devyn Frank had one of her strongest offensive performances of the year on Saturday to help the Western New England University women's volleyball team to a pair of non-conference sweeps at the Rhode Island College triangular held at The Murray Center.
The Golden Bears defeated the host Anchorwomen 25-4, 25-13 and 25-10 in the morning and then defeated Westfield State 25-11, 25-15, 25-10 in the afternoon, improving to 13-5 overall after pushing their win streak to three matches.
Frank notched 12 kills to pace the WNE offense versus the Anchorwomen. The Golden Bears also got five kills apiece from junior outside hitter
Kasey Cameron and senior outside hitter
Maureen Pollet. The setter tandem of freshmen
Jenna Leuck and
Jessica Sincero combined for 27 assists with 15 and 12, respectively.

Grace Kucharski led the way with 13 digs, while Leuck and junior defensive specialist
Kendra Ouimette each recorded seven. Leuck, Frank and Ouimette registered three service aces apiece.

RIC (1-18) senior middle hitter Amanda Cabral posted four kills and eight digs, while sophomore outside hitter Michelle Malboeuf chipped in with three kills. Sophomore outside hitter Lauren Palazzini contributed seven digs.
Then Frank notched 13 kills against the Owls, who fall to 11-8. She also was credited with five blocks and three service aces.

WNE saw Pollet chip in with seven kills while Cameron and sophomore outside hitter
Kelsey Armstrong each posted six winners.
Sincero led all setters with 24 and Leuck added 11. Cameron and Kucharski registered 11 and 10 digs, respectively.

Senior outside hitter Lindsay Rescott led the way for the Owls with six kills, while classmate outside hitter Julia Warner pitched in with four kills and 10 digs.
In other action on the day, Westfield State defeated RIC 25-17, 25-21, 25-14.
