Western New England Blanked by Grinnell, 9-0, in Florida Finale

ORLANDO, Fla.--The Western New England University men's tennis team wrapped up its spring break trip to the Sunshine State on Thursday with a 9-0 non-conference loss to Grinnell College, which improves to 21-3 on the season. The Golden Bears, who went 2-3 in Florida, are now 2-4 overall.

Western New England coach Jennifer Kolins says the competition on this trip will help prepare the team for the rigors of the Commonwealth Coast Conference.

"This has been an incredible week of high-level tennis and we rose to the occasion in every match. The score of this match did not reflect our level of play. The team increased their competitiveness as the week went on, and was apparent in the way they performed against Grinnell, which is one of the best teams in the country," she explained.
