Western New England had another power play opportunity and put five more shots on target the rest of the way, but was unable to capitalize. Junior
Kyle Lebrun (Bridgewater, Mass.) gave the Leopards a 2-0 lead with 1:27 remaining in regulation and Sattler added an empty netter to wrap up the scoring in the contest.
ÂÂ
The Golden Bears recorded 30+ shots on goal for the third straight game to open the season, but were shut out for the second consecutive contest. Freshman
Steve Beck (Milton, N.Y.) led the way tonight with a team-high five shots, while classmate
Connor Eckenrod (Ebensburg, Pa.) and senior
Chris Lembo (Southington, Conn.) fired four each.
ÂÂ
Western New England (0-3, 0-1 ECAC) will look to get back on track this Thursday night, when the Golden Bears open their 2015-16 home slate against Suffolk University at Smead Arena. Wentworth (3-1, 2-0 ECAC NE) returns to action Wednesday night against Johnson & Wales University.ÂÂ
