BRISTOL, R.I.--The Western New England University men's tennis team lost 5-0 on the road to Roger Williams University in the Commonwealth Coast Conference opener for both teams at the RWU Courts on Tuesday. Both squads are now 3-3 on the season.
The visiting Golden Bears gave the Hawks a battle to start the afternoon, but the hosts came away with a 3-0 lead after the doubles competition. Western New England tested RWU at No. 2, but in the end Zack Bussiere and Kyle Bull were able to edge senior tri-captain

Greg Tischofer, 9-7. Roger Williams also doubled up WNE's tandems at No.1 and No. 3, both 8-4.
Western New England hosts Curry College on Saturday (noon) at the Volvo Outdoor Tennis Courts in its next conference date, while RWU will be back in action tomorrow against UMass-Dartmouth in non-conference action.
