Late rally gives Western New England a 3-2 victory over CCC rival University of New England

Box Score SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Western New England women's volleyball team made some big plays when needed in rallying for a 3-2 victory over University of New England Saturday afternoon (Sept. 26) at the Alumni Healthful Living Center. The game scores were 25-11, 23-25, 17-25, 25-23, and 15-11.

The Golden Bears, who are defeated Salve Regina by a similar score on Thursday, improved their record to 7-4 and 2-0 in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC).

Kelsey Armstrong led the attack with 11 kills while Olivia Lathrop and Carly Skibinski each contributed nine kills. Skibinski also finished with five blocks.

Jessica Sincero and Jenna Leuck compiled 20 and 17 assists, respectively. Emily Woodford finished with 16 digs with Leuck adding 11 and Sincero 10.

Grayson Szczepaniak led the Nor'easters (3-4, 1-1 CCC) with 11 kills with Kristen Falcinelli totaling 24 assists and Brittany Morrison 17 digs.

Western New England is now 4-0 in five-set matches this season.
