DUDLEY, Mass. (October 2, 2016) – The Western New England University women's tennis team fell to Nichols College, 8-1, this afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Robinson Tennis Courts.
Top Performers
• Freshman Morgan Schrader (Burnt Hills, N.Y.) posted the only win of the match for Western New England, earning a 6-1, 3-6, 10-6 result over Isabelle Leonardi at No. 4 singles.
• Freshman Amarie Settiwongse (Bangkok, Thailand) led the way for the Bison, producing wins at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles.
Match Review
• Nichols claimed all three doubles matches, opening up a commanding 3-0 lead.
• Settiwongse defeated Western New England junior Lauren Sell (Milford, Conn.) by a 6-3, 6-2 score.
• The Bison went on to claim all but one of the singles matches, with Schrader providing the highlight of the afternoon with her win at No. 4.
