DUDLEY, Mass. (April 20, 2016) - Senior co-captain
Alexander Sause (Cusago, Italy) was victorious in both singles and doubles play, but the Western New England University men's tennis team fell to Nichols College, 6-3, this afternoon in Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action at the Robinson Tennis Courts.

The Bison held a 2-1 lead after doubles play, but Sause and classmate
Chris Spear (Windsor, Conn.) earned a point for the Golden Bears with their 8-3 win over James Smith/Igor Markowski at No. 2.

Sause then registered another victory at No. 2 singles, posting a 6-1, 6-2 triumph over Josh Halpern. Western New England's other point came courtesy of freshman
Justin Kohut (South Windsor, Conn.), who improved to 11-1 this season at No. 4 singles with his 6-4, 6-4 win over Markowski.

Blake Norton led the way for the Bison, teaming up with Aidan Stuart at No. 1 doubles to earn an 8-5 result over Western New England's duo of Kohut and senior
Andres Otero (Caracas, Venezuela). Norton also posted a 6-0, 6-1 win over Otero at No. 1 singles.

Western New England (8-4, 3-3 CCC) returns to action on Saturday with its final road match of the regular season at Endicott. The Golden Bears return home next Tuesday to host Roger Williams on Senior Day at the Volvo Outdoor Courts.ÂÂ
