The Golden Bears answered two minutes later with Kleyman's goal, and the game went to the second intermission tied 1-1.

In the third period, the visitors utilized a power play opportunity to grab a 2-1 edge on a goal by Wild at the 15:41 mark. Costello scored with 2:23 remaining, before freshman Tim Atkins (Greenfield, Mass.) buried an empty net goal in the closing seconds to extend the final margin to 4-1.
