Box Score 2 BEVERLY, Mass. (May 8, 2021) – The Western New England University softball team fell to Endicott, 4-0 and 8-0, in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship series on Saturday afternoon.
Game 1: Endicott 4, Western New England 0
Sophomores Cori Rizzo and Paige Baca each had a hit for the Golden Bears. Senior Paige Uliase pitched six innings.
Meghan Connor hit a home run for the Gulls while Lauren Mislaszek hit a triple. Michaela Hamill went the distance with five strikeouts.
Endicott opened the scoring in the third inning when Adrianna Favreau hit an RBI single. Katie Terban extended the Gulls' lead in the fourth with an RBI single to left field. Connor hit her home run in the fifth, a two-run homer to right field.
Game 2: Endicott 8, Western New England 0 (5 innings)
Junior Dina DiBlasio and sophomore Lexie Hemstock each had a hit for the Golden Bears.
Favreau hit two home runs for the Gulls while Raven Comtois also hit a home run. Connor and Mislaszek each hit a double. Maria Hanchuk went the distance with six strikeouts.
Favreau hit a two-run home run in the first inning and then followed that up with a grand slam in the second inning. Comtois added to the Endicott lead later in the second inning with a two-run home run.
