SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 12, 2022) – The Western New England women's tennis team faced the Endicott College Gulls today at home where they fell to the Gulls 9-0.

Records:

• Western New England: 3-4, 3-3 CCC
• Endicott College: 9-2, 7-0 CCC

How it Happened: In Doubles action, Aliza McLeish and Arriana Hasiuk had a close battle against Endicott's doubles team Kaitlin Fitzgibbons and Samantha Hartmann, but ultimately lost 8-6. The other close doubles match had partners Dani Martinez and Gianna Arace. They battled but still came up short 8-5.

In singles the closest match was Arriana Hasiuk vs. Endicott's Samantha Hartmann. Husiak won the first set and lost the second. The third was action packed. After a great match, Husiak unfortunately lost in the third 10-8.  

Up Next: The Golden Bears have one more regular season match against the Salve Regina Seahawks that was postponed earlier in the season. The date is TBA.
