Women's Tennis Drops CCC Contest at Roger Williams

BRISTOL, R.I. (October 8, 2022) – The Western New England women's tennis team came up short on Saturday afternoon, falling 9-0 to the Hawks of Roger Williams University. 

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears fell just short in doubles action, especially in the first slot when Aliza McLeish and Arriana Hasiuk dropped a close 8-7 (7-5) match to Alessoa Cahoon and Olivia Santoro of Roger Williams. Doubles partners Gabrielle Tirkot and Syndey Shepard would drop straight sets to the Hawks while Dani Martinez and Gianna Arace would win one game in the nine sets, falling 9-0. 

Western New England would come up short in singles action, as well, as Arriana Hasiuk came close the in the first set, falling 6-4, 6-2, while Sydney Shepard dropped a close 6-2, 6-4 match.

  • The Golden Bears host Endicott College on Wednesday, October 12 at 3:30 pm for their final regular season match of the season.
