Golden Bears Fall Short to the Bison

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 12, 2022) – The Western New England men's tennis team had a tough loss against CCC opponent Nichols College Bison today for a final match score of 8-1.

Records:

  • Western New England: 4-3
  • Nichols College: 9-5

How it Happened: The Golden Bears had a tough time against the Bison. They did not pick up any wins during the single matches, falling 6-0. WNE picked up a victory in a doubles match where Nick Bayer and Max Gordon defeated Nichols Sam Kluger and Giacomo Ghitti 8-7. In the second doubles, Michael Robichaud and Brandon Greger fell short, as well as third doubles team Ryan Zable and Paul Riccio for a final of 8-1.

Up Next on the Schedule:

The Golden Bears will be back on their home court for their next match Thursday, April 14, for a rescheduled game against Curry College Colonels for a start time of 3:30 p.m.

The Bison will be traveling to Roger Williams for their next match Thursday, April 14 for a 4 p.m. start time.
