Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 20, 2022) – The Western New England men's tennis team dropped to the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards in CCC match action Wednesday afternoon for a final of 7-2.

- Western New England: 5-4, 2-2 CCC
- Wentworth Institute: 5-7, 4-2 CCC
How it Happened:
In the first doubles match, the Golden Bears started off with a victory. Continuing the wins for the impressive duo, Max Gordon and Nick Bayer had an 8-4 win over Kevin Salomon and Pranav Marwaha. In the second doubles match, the tables turned, and The Leopards Daniel Gallegos and Malo Legouin won 8-4 vs. Michael Robichaud and Casey VanDenBossche. The last double was a close match, but the Golden Bears Paul Riccio and Brandon Greger still fell 8-5 to Harrison Maki and Sam Ferro. The Leopards had a 2-1 advantage before singles play.
Nick Bayer took the first round in match play against Kevin Salomon 7-5, then lost 6-1 and 6-0. Max Gordon also had a battle with Daniel Gallegos, but also lost 6-4, 6-4. Sebastian Smreczak loss 6-3, 7-5 to Pranav Marwaha. The last match that the Golden Bears had a victory in was Michael Robichaud. He defeated Harrison Maki 6-3, 6-3. The Leopards Malo Leqouin had to earn a victory against Brandon Greger with a 6-4, 7-5 final. The last match up on the day was Paul Riccio and Sam Ferro, but unfortunately was another Golden Bear defeat, going 6-1, 6-2. Western New England gained a CCC defeat against the Leopards for a final of 7-2.
