Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. (April 23, 2022) – The Western New England men's tennis team suffer their third straight Commonwealth Coast Conference match loss against Roger Williams with a final of 9-0.
Records:
- Western New England: 5-6, 2-4 CCC
- Roger Williams: 13-2, 6-1 CCC
How it Happened:
Doubles – Golden Bears Max Gordon and Nick Bayer lost to Jon Trevethan and Dan Tocco 8-0.
Sebastian Smreczak and Michael Robichaud fell to Ryan Schuck and Johnny Baldyga 8-1.
In the last double, Paul Riccio and Brandon Greger took an 8-2 loss to Matt Glassman and Tyler Cain.
Singles – Bayer faced Jon Trevethan and loss 6-0, 6-0.
Gordon had the closes match but still fell to Dan Tocco 6-4, 6-0.
Smreczak made it an interesting one, but still could not get it done against Matt Glassman losing the sets 6-2, 6-2.
Robichaud had the same final match score lose (6-2, 6-2) against Ryan Schuck
Greger and Ricco also had the same final match score, Greger faced Johnny Baldyga losing 6-0, 6-2. Ricco was up against Arlex Correa.
Up Next on the Schedule:
- The Golden Bears are at home for their final couple of matches. They will host Curry College from a rescheduled match that was supposed to take place on the 14th. The match will take place on Monday, April 25th, at 3:30 p.m.
