DUDLEY, Mass. (April 19, 2023) – The Western New England men's tennis team closed out the 2023 campaign on Wednesday afternoon, falling to hosting Nichols College by a final score of 7-2 as the hosting Bison captured the 2023 CCC Regular Season crown. 

How it Happened:

Paul Riccio and Tyler Macdowall would come away with a victory, 8-7, over Nichols in the third doubles around, though Nichols would defeat Western New England in the top two doubles spots to take a 2-1 lead. Brandon Greger and Nick Bayer would fight hard in their match, falling 8-5 in the top spot. 

Western New England would grab one win in singles action after Paul Riccio defeated Grant Garcia 6-1, 6-1 for the victory. Michael Robichaud would fall 6-3, 6-2 in singles #3 action as Western New England would conclude the season by suffering a 7-2 defeat at Nichols College, missing the CCC playoffs in the process. WNE finished the season with a 2-11 record, with a 1-7 mark in CCC play.
