Beverly, Mass. (October 19, 2024) – The Golden Bears and Gulls faced off in Beverly, Massachusetts on Saturday. The Gulls would score one goal in the first half and two in the second half to secure the 3-0 victory over the Golden Bears.

How it Happened:
Ty Bevan and Brady O'Toole were in net for WNE and Endicott, respectively. The game began, and the Golden Bears had a 1st-minute shot immediately go over the goal. The Golden Bears started to apply pressure early. They had a 3rd-minute corner kick and a fourth-minute shot. The shot was blocked by the Endicott defense. WNE then had two shots and two corner-kick opportunities from the 6th minute to the 13th minute of play. Neither shot tested O'Toole. Then, Endicott found their footing and flipped the momentum. Between the 14th and 18th minutes, they had two shots blocked and two corner-kick opportunities. Then, three more shots were taken by Endicott between the 22nd and 25th minutes. Bevan had to make a save on one of the shots and did. The teams traded possession until the 37th minute when Codan Foley found Konrad Krysztoforski with a pass, which was then sent at the goal by Krysztoforski. The shot ricocheted off the goalpost and found Fisher Mills, who found the back of the net. The Gulls led 1-0. The Golden Bears would find some momentum towards the end of the first half. They had two shots and three corner kick opportunities between the 42nd minute and the end of the half. A shot from Aiden Casinghino had to be saved by O'Toole and was. The half would end after that, with Endicott leading 1-0. The halftime stats saw Endicott leading 7-6 in shots and 2-1 in shots on goal. WNE led 6-2 in corner kick opportunities and 6-3 in fouls. Both teams had one save.
The Golden Bears started the second half with shots in the 46th and 47th minutes. The second shot was from Jacob Dounetos and was saved by O'Toole. The 49th minute saw Endicott double their lead. Codan Foley sent a throw-in into the penalty box. Konrad Krysztoforski would then send a header shot into the back of the net, and Endicott had a 2-0 lead. WNE answered with pressure. Matt Spruill sent a shot at the goal, which the Endicott defense had to save to keep the score 2-0 in the 51st minute. Then, WNE would take every shot between the 52nd and the 74th minute. They had eight shots, with O'Toole saving two shots, one shot from Aiden Casinghino, and one shot from Matt Spruill. The Golden Bears had two corner-kick opportunities in that time. However, neither would lead to a shot on goal. Then, after WNE was gaining momentum, Endicott flipped it once again, and Peyton Luther sent a crossing-pass to Tiago Frazao, who scored on a header-shot in the 75th minute. The Gulls led 3-0. After that, the Golden Bears had shots in the 79th minute and a shot in the 81st minute both go wide. The 83rd minute saw WNE earn a corner-kick opportunity, but they could not capitalize. That was the final opportunity for WNE. The teams would trade the ball back and forth until the final horn sounded, and Endicott would claim the 3-0 victory over WNE. The final stats saw WNE leading in shots 19-9, shots on goal 5-1, and corner kick opportunities 9-2. Endicott led in saves 5-1 and fouls 12-10.

Coach O'Neill was asked for a comment on the game and was asked what O'Neill thinks needs to be improved going into Tuesday's game. "We need to get goals. (WNE is) Just struggling in the final third," O'Neill answered.
