BRISTOL, R.I. (October 9, 2024) – The Western New England women's tennis team dropped their final Conference of New England match on Wednesday afternoon, falling to Roger Williams University in straight sets, 7-0.

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears could not pick up a point in the doubles round, seeing the Hawks defeat Western New England in straight sets.
Malina Dinis and
Sydney Shepard would be defeated in the top doubles spot,
Kayla Ledoux and
Yasmine Giacalone would fall in the second doubles spot, and
Kelsey Wyse and
Gianna Arace would drop a 6-0 decision in the third doubles spot, seeing RWU take the opening point of the match.
The Golden Bears top two singles pairs would battle hard, as
Catie Seklecki and
Malina Dinis would both fall 6-1, 6-2. The season would end for the Golden Bears with their loss in the third, fourth, fifth, and sixth singles spots being taken down by the Hawks. RWU would defeat Western New England for the 22
nd straight match overall.
