March 12, 2025) – The Western New England women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision on Wednesday morning from Hilton Head High School in South Carolina as part of their spring break trip as the Webster University Gorloks came away with wins in all matches.

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears would fall short in all three doubles matches despite valiant efforts in the first and third doubles spots.
Emma Miller and
Sydney Shepard paired up in the top spot for Western New England but would come up short, dropping a 6-1 decision to Webster's Journee White and Kylie Chitwood. In the third spot, Western New England would also put up a fight as
Gianna Arace and
Leina Salomon picked up two points in the match but would succumb to Evie Schuetz and Bailee Pineda by a final score of 6-2.
Kelsey Wyse collected two points in the sixth singles spot for the Golden Bears but would fall in the match 6-2, 6-1.
Sydney Shepard and
Gabrielle Tirkot were other Golden Bears who picked up points in the singles round, but the Golden Bears would be outmatched by the Gorloks, who won all six singles matches while taking the extra point in doubles, defeating Western New England women's tennis by a final score of 7-0.
