HILTON HEAD, S.C. (March 18, 2024) – The Western New England men's tennis team could not overcome a strong Carelton College team on Monday morning, falling 9-0 in their spring season opener.

How it Happened:
Carleton would come away with a quick 3-0 lead in the doubles session of the match. All three matches would conclude with an 8-3 score.
Nick Bayer and
Brandon Greger would pair up in the doubles one slot,
Henry Runyan and
Michel Abizaid Nunez in the two spot, and
Nolan Jermain and
Paul Riccio in the third doubles spot.
In singles action, Carelton would take control and dominate the Golden Bears.
Henry Runyan won two games in the opening set before falling 2-6, 0-6, while
Brandon Greger would take two games in the second set, though would fall 0-6, 2-6. This is the first meeting all-time between the two teams.
