Beverly, MA (April 14, 2024) – The Golden Bears traveled out to Beverly, Massachusetts, for a CCC doubleheader battle against the Gulls of Endicott College. Game one saw the Gulls get out to a quick 2-0 start thanks, in part, to Chloe Shapleigh's first-inning home run. The Golden Bears would cut the deficit to one twice; however, the Gulls used a five-run fourth inning to power them to an 8-5 win. The Golden Bears saw Madison Mason, Riley Kane, and Kailey Carrano hit home runs. Jaylin Couto struck out nine WNE batters to earn the win for Endicott College. Game two saw the Gulls jump out to another first inning, two-run lead. However, the Golden Bears stormed back to take the lead, thanks to Kailey Carrano's two-run home run in the top of the fifth. The game went to extra-innings stuck at four, and the Gulls would prevail thanks to a Paige Berdos single in the bottom of the eighth. Mia Mitchell went 2-for-4 for the Gulls, and Kailey Carrano went 3-for-4 for the Golden Bears. Analise Grady earned the win for the Gulls in 2.1 innings pitched and having one strikeout. The Gulls won game two, 5-4 in eight innings.

Game 1: Endicott 8, Western New England 5
Riley Kane and Jaylin Couto were the pitchers for game one of the doubleheader. Jaylin Couto started the game by only allowing one Golden Bear runner on base and getting the other three batters out, which included striking out one batter. Then, in the bottom of the first, Chloe Shapleigh smacked a home run over the center field fence, and the Gulls led 1-0. They extended their lead a few batters later when Caitlyn Romero scored on a Golden Bear error. The Gulls led 2-0 after one. Madison Mason wasted no time answering the Gulls. Mason sent a solo home run over the left field fence in the leadoff at-bat for the Golden Bears in the second. The very next batter was Alex Ferriouolo, who singled to shortstop. That was Ferriouolo's 100th career hit as a Golden Bear. The Golden Bears would get another runner on base and have two on, with only one out. However, Couto got the final two WNE batters to strike out. The Gulls got a runner on base during the bottom of the second. However, Kane would not allow the runner home, and the game moved to the third. Carrano would single in the top of the inning but could not get home. Then, Mia Mitchell singled to right field and brought Chloe Shapleigh home to extend the Gulls' lead to 3-1. Riley Kane got that run back for the Golden Bears with a solo home run to left field. The score was 3-2 Gulls going into the bottom of the fourth.
The fourth saw the Gulls open up the lead to 8-2. It started with Katie Watts hitting a double down the left-field line. That brought Dani Lear home. Then, Caitlyn Romero got on base thanks to a fielder's choice. Paige Berdos scored on the play. Evelyn Picone would replace Kane as the WNE pitcher. After getting an out, Picone threw a wild pitch, which brought Katie Watts home. Finally, Christina Nowicki singled and brought Elyse Saccoccio and Caitlyn Romero home. That made the score 8-2 after four innings. The Golden Bears would not shy away from the fight, though. Kailey Carrano hit a two-run home run over the left-center field fence to score Gracie Hemstock, and the Golden Bears were within four. The Gulls would get runners on first and second with one out. However, Picone got out of the jam and struck out the final batter of the inning. Then, after the first two WNE batters got on base, Gracie Hemstock would hit a single up the middle, with two outs, to cut the Endicott College lead to 8-5. Picone would get out of another jam in the bottom of the sixth. The Gulls had a runner in scoring position with one out. However, Picone would shut down the Gulls to get out of the inning. The Golden Bears got their first batter on base via a walk in the seventh. However, the Gulls turned a double play and got the final out one batter later to secure the 8-5 victory.

- Four Gulls' batters had two hits during the game. Paige Berdos, Chloe Shapleigh, Katie Watts, and Mia Mitchell each had two hits.

- Riley Kane pitched 3.1 innings for the Golden Bears. Kane gave up three earned runs and struck out two. Picone pitched 2.2 innings for WNE, giving up no earned runs and striking out one batter.
- Jaylin Couto pitched seven innings for the Gulls, giving up three earned runs and striking out nine batters to earn the win.
- The Gulls won 8-5.
Game 2: Endicott 5, Western New England 4 (8 Innings)
Game two got started with Ava Blanchard and Kristen Beebe in the pitching circle. The top of the first saw Beebe get three outs despite two Golden Bears getting on the bases. Then, Chloe Shapleigh opened up the game with a two-run home run. That gave the Gulls a 2-0 lead. The second inning saw Beebe strike out the side in the top. Then, Blanchard answered by striking out one, walking one, and getting the next two batters out. The third saw the Golden Bears answer with two runs. It started with Shea McDaniel scoring on a wild pitch from Beebe. Then, Gracie Hemstock put the ball into play but was thrown out. Keegan would score, though, so Hemstock recorded an RBI, and the game was tied at two. The score did not stay that way as Mia Mitchell would single through the middle of the infield to make the score 3-2. Beebe shut the Golden Bears down in the top of the fourth, and Blanchard did the same to the Gulls in the bottom of the inning. With the Gulls looking to keep the momentum going, Kailey Carrano would walk to the plate with a runner on third. Carrano would turn on a pitch from the pitcher and send it over the center field fence to give the Golden Bears the 4-3 lead. The Gulls looked to answer by putting two runners on base. However, Blanchard got the final two outs to end the fifth inning. The top of the sixth saw Beebe get the first two outs. Then, Analise Grady would enter the game as the pitcher for the Gulls. Grady would get the final out of the sixth for the Gulls. The bottom of the inning saw Blanchard get into a two-on, one-out jam. However, Blanchard calmly got the next two batters out to keep the Golden Bears up by one.
The seventh saw Grady sit the Golden Bears down one, two, three to give the Gulls one last opportunity. In the bottom of the seventh, Evelyn Picone entered the game as the Golden Bear pitcher. Picone got two outs for WNE and only let one Endicott College batter on base. Then, an error by the Golden Bears opened the door for Chloe Shapleigh to score, and the game went to extra innings, tied at four. The Golden Bears went down one, two, three in the top of the eighth. Then, with a runner on third and two outs, Paige Berdos sent a hit into left-center field, and the Gulls won the game, 5-4.
