Danbury, Conn. (April 18, 2024) – The Golden Bears traveled to Danbury, Connecticut, for a tri-match with Western Connecticut State University and Elms College. Jeremy Burke would tie Elms College's Liam Fitzgibbons for the lowest round of the match with an 81. The Golden Bears would secure second place after each golfer had finished their round.

On the Course:
The Golden Bears played their round at Richter Park Golf Course. WNE would see two of their golfers record scores in the top four individual scores of the match. Jeremy Burke led the Golden Bears with a score of 81, which was tied for the best score of the match. Burke notched a 42 on the front nine and a 39 on the back nine. Ryan Schlehuber would finish with the next-best score for the Golden Bears and the third-best score of the match. Schlehuber shot an 83 by shooting 42 on the front and 41 on the back nine. Connor Asselin would record a score of 91 for the round. Asselin went out with a score of 44 and came back with a score of 47. Gabriel Barile would shoot a score of 92. Barile shot a 47 on the front nine and a 45 on the back nine. Joshua Vaughan would shoot a 104 for the round. Vaughan shot a 52 on the way out and a 52 on the way back. The Golden Bears finished with a final score of 347, and that earned the team a second-place finish.
