Box Score BRISTOL, R.I. (April 6, 2024) – The Western New England men's tennis team was downed on Saturday afternoon at Roger Williams University, falling to the Hawks by a final score of 9-0. The Hawks would take straight sets in singles action while sweeping Western New England in doubles action.
The Golden Bears saw two defeats come on an 8-3 score, in the doubles one and two positions when
Nick Bayer and Brandon Gregor were defeated in the top spot while
Michel Abizaid Nunez and
Henry Runyan were taken down in the second doubles spot.
In singles action, the Golden Bears would be handled by the Hawks, who came away with two set victories in all six singles matches.
Nolan Jermain challenged Cooper Brown in the sixth singles position, falling 6-7 (2), 2-6.
Nick Bayer would drop a 6-0, 6-3 match in the top spot for the Golden Bears.
