SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 17, 2025) – Western New England women's wrestling junior
Linda Holeman has earned a national ranking from the NWCA – NCAA in the opening individual rankings of the season, sitting ninth overall in the 124 lb. weight class.
Holeman earned recognition after last season's outstanding 31-4 record on the mat, which included a first-place finish in the 124 lb. weight class at the National Collegiate Women's Wrestling Championships Region I Championships (NCWWC), qualifying for the NCWWC National Championships for the second-straight season, becoming the first Golden Bear to appear on the national stage twice in a career.
The Preston, Connecticut, native was tied for the team lead in victories for the Golden Bears last season, recording 16 fall, nine technical fall victories, and five decision wins. Holeman carries a 55-12 career record heading into her junior campaign at the 124 lb. weight class.
The WNE women's wrestling team opens its 2025-2026 season at the Princeton Open, at Jadwin Gymnasium on Sunday, November 2, beginning at 9:00 AM.
