SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (October 9, 2025) – The Western New England men's tennis team fell in straight sets by the Pride of Springfield College on Thursday afternoon in the teams' final fall match of the season, dropping a 7-0 decision.

How it Happened:
The Golden Bears went down in order to begin doubles play with the top two doubles pairings snagging two game wins each while the third pairing for the Golden Bears comprised of
Kyle Poccia and
Eston Fowler winning one game and falling 6-1.
Colby Esposito fell 6-1, 6-1 in the top singles spot for Western New England, being defeated by Springfield's Angelo Guzman.
Quinn Northrop fell short in the second position, 6-1, 6-2 to Akito Shimamura.
Michel Abizaid Nunez picked up two game wins in the first set of the third singles match, but lost by scores of 6-2, 6-1. Nolan Jeramin also lost by the same score in the fourth spot. Springfield swept the Golden Bears in the final two matches as
Kyle Poccia and
Eston Fowler were defeated in straight sets, sending the Golden Bears down in order, 7-0.
