Golden Bears Keep Rolling with 28-21 Senior Day Win Inside the Anthony Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.. (November 15, 2025) – The Golden Bears and Pilgrims of New England College dueled in Springfield Saturday afternoon. WNE took a quick 18-6 lead, but NEC would fight back by winning three of the following four matches by pinfall or forfeit. WNE would take the final match via forfeit to seal the 28-21 victory on Senior Day.

How it Happened:

Lillie Normanie took the opening bout with WNE via a forfeit in the 103 lb. weight class.
WNE then had four wins in a row. The 110 lb. weight class match saw Victoria Orender defeat Fenna Van Der Velden via pinfall at 1:38. Then, Maddie Ripley defeated Madeline Li via pinfall at 0:47 in the 117 lb. weight class. Lina Holeman then defeated Olivia Delegas via a 10-0 technical fall victory at 1:06 in the 124 lb. weight class. Lastly, Jazmene Molina defeated Orla King via technical fall, 13-2, at 2:29 in the 131 lb. weight class. WNE led 18-6
Jaclyn Dehney defeated Tanya Teneva in the 131 lb. weight class via pinfall at 4:25. Then, Ashley Dehney defeated Kendall Branchaud in the 145 lb. weight class match. WNE's lead was now only two.
Alicia Tucker would win the 160 lb. weight class via a forfeit. WNE led 23-16.
Marisol Almanzar won via a medical forfeit in the 180 lb. weight class. WNE's lead was back down to two.
Samantha Rabkin won the 207 lb. weight class via forfeit, which sealed a 28-1 victory for WNE.
