WNE would find their skating game and would come up with their first goal of the game 8:10 into the period to tie the game at one as Benito Calvanese collected his second of the season on assists from Sam Logan and Brayden Patricia. Just 44 seconds later, Endicott would score again, breaking the tie, leading 2-1 with a goal from Primo Self, his 13th of the year. Endicott would tack on another at the midway point of the opening period when John Goldowski beat Aureliano for his 8th marker this year. The Gulls took 29 shots on goal in the first period, seeing Aureliano make 26 saves, a single season high.

Endicott had all the momentum in the second period, scoring five times to burry the Golden Bears. EC's fourth goal of the game came from Therien Thiessing on the shorthand, his second of the season, giving the Gulls a 4-1 lead. Just over a minute later, Domenic Garozzo found the back of the net for the 15th time on the year, handing the Gulls a 5-1 lead. Endicott would continue to have their way with the Golden Bears in the second period, scoring again just 7:40 into the period for their third goal of the frame and sixth of the night as Kendrick Frost had his fourth of the season.
